right so here are a couple settings that
you probably want to activate inside of
clavio when she once you first make an
account um with clavio so once you've
made an account and you've downloaded
the Shopify
um app it'll probably take you to a page
that looks something like this once
you've integrated it so there's a few
different settings you probably want to
turn on so the first one it says collect
email subscribers which is an obvious
one but it's not done automatically for
you so you need to just put this in and
select newsletter which is the default
list if you set up SMS as well tick that
SMS subscribers button and that's going
to do the pretty much the same thing put
it in the list as well the other two
things you want to select are these two
sync and update
um so this just basically means that the
customer details and your Shopify is
going to match with what you see in
cloudview as well so hit update settings
on those and that will take a second
yeah so it's going to come up with like
a little pop-up which looks something
like this so just press update
integration to confirm and that is done
the other thing the other thing that you
want to do is you want to make sure
there's no double opt-in on the email
list that you created or that's default
created for you so if you head over to
audience and inside of that list and
segments you'll as I mentioned before
there's a default list that gets made
for you which is called the newsletter
so if you click inside the newsletter
there's a few settings or just one set
in particular that you probably want to
turn off so click settings at the top
there what you want to do here is just
change this from double Upton to single
opt-in
the reason I'm doing that is because
once somebody
um say they sign up to your 10 off once
you have given their email you don't
want them to have to confirm another
email it just adds an extra step in
there so I think sometimes it's worth
turning that off using single opt-in so
people get that discount straight away
