Hey guys, welcome to another video. In
this video, we will overview the Shopify
Partner Dashboard, how you can navigate
around, and where you can find the
settings.
So, I have created a brand new partner
account. You can have multiple partner
account, and each partner account have
its own custom settings.
For each partner account, you will get
revenue for a for customer and that you
sign up for. So, you can have as many as
you want, but I always have one.
Uh from the top navigation, you can see
I'm part of some other um
uh companies, too. Um Coding is part of
IO is my own. Coding is fire. I just
created this one. And this is Survey
Hive.com. Uh it is also also something I
have created in the past, but this is
mine and some other agencies that I'm
part of.
So,
for now, let's check um the setting
around. In the home page, you don't see
anything uh important except like for
business um overview. If you have any
app, if you have revenue for the for for
the app or theme, uh all of that will be
in here.
So, for any active referrals, if you
have any friend or anyone that you lead
to Shopify, uh that will be a referral
in here, and it will show how many
referral active you have.
So, if you build a Shopify store for
client and you do transfer it, Shopify
is going to give you 20% of their
monthly
uh subscription to you. If they are on
Shopify basic, which is like $29, you
might get um I think $10 for every month
or something around that price.
So, I don't have any referral for this
partner, so it is a clean. I don't have
any team. I don't have any store. We'll
start from the basic, and you will learn
everything you need to know. So,
uh in the stores, you will find all the
stores. Development store, custom uh
customer store, and everything. For now,
since I don't have anything, it will
show a clean dashboard in here.
Referrals, um you can submit a lead to
Shopify.
Uh you will get um
you will earn
money based on that. So, if it is
Shopify POS,
then it does you 500, and Shopify Plus
is more than that, like 20% revenue.
Shopify Plus is something that I will
talk in the future, but this is
basically a Shopify plan that you have a
lot of features.
And they also have a dedicated uh
customer support for you, and it is very
expensive. It's around It's starting
like 2,000 a month for the
for the client.
So, uh let's go to the apps. This is
where we spend most of our time. This is
where you will uh create the app, and
it is it is going to list all the apps
that you have. Since you don't have any,
it is um empty for now. Then you have
teams.
Teams again, you can create your teams,
submit it, and all of that team will be
in here with all the dashboard and
revenue
for the um
for the team. Shopify POS,
um this is not something that I will
talk in this video, but it is basically
the machine that people use in any store
purchases. It's a Shopify POS, which has
a dashboard, um
people will use it on the stores
in the physical stores.
Then we have Shopify Partner Doc, very
important resources that you can start
from here. You can get Shopify certified
academy. They have a lot of videos that
you can start watching, and that is like
very good resource for you to restart
from here.
The product docs, um again, similar
thing. These These are like the channels
that you can
um start. Online channels, you have
customer uh storefront. These are all
basically all the resources that you
need to know um
uh when you want to start creating um
Shopify products. Then you have support.
You can contact them. The payouts will
show you if you have money, it is going
to show you uh when the payout will be.
Shopify normally pay you on fortnight.
So, it is on each um month you get twice
like the the payment.
Then you have team. If you have team
member, you can add it in here.
Um
and if you have invited someone, it will
show in here. The thing is,
Shopify does not charge you for any
extra member that you add in the
partner, which is good. I see a lot of a
lot of um other like SAS products, they
charge you for more stuff in
This That's good that this is free. And
you have then settings, which you can
add all the settings you need to you
need about your partner, including your
partner ID.
These um are the settings that you can
update in the setting dashboard. So, for
now, I'll go to the stores. We don't
have any store. And this is all you need
to know. Shopify Partner, very basic and
basic settings, especially when you
don't have anything. One more thing I
want to explain to you is,
if I go to this partner account called
Survey Hive,
I have created this survey app long time
ago. This is the demo store. Um Let me
get rid of this.
And if you go to the Shopify apps, and
you want to submit this app to the
store,
um let's go. Let's check this out.
This app is not live, so I'm just
checking this.
So, from the distribution,
let's say this app is done, and all you
have to do is make it public. So, from
here, you will select the destination,
and then you will go and publish your
app. But before doing that,
there is one more thing that I have to
tell you.
When I started with Shopify, it was
free. Like, you could publish the app
for free. I started free. My my app were
like completely free. But Shopify added
um a fee for that, I think. If I go to
the payouts, I'm not sure where that
setting was,
but last time when I tried to publish my
app from this dashboard, I noticed
Shopify charged me $99 for my first app.
So, if you want to publish the first
app, it was $99 one-time fee.
After that, you can publish as many app
as you want.
And there is another thing that you have
to know about Shopify. This is also
important. Shopify does not charge you
for any app revenue until you have like
more than 1 million revenue per year.
And every year, that will reset. That's
great. Like, up to 1 million, you will
get 100% of the revenue from Shopify app
and also Shopify team. After 1 million,
then they are going to charge you I
think 20% or something.
I think that's really good, and this
change came like 2 years ago.
So, Shopify has stopped like charging
customers on the app, and that's such a
good move.
Yeah, so if you are making a million um
more than 1 million per year, then it is
easy for you to pay like 20% um to
Shopify.
